A faith in Christ that leads to a life animated by God’s Spirit is contagious. We encourage people who are enthusiastic about God’s work in their lives to share their story with others.
Volunteer as a Catechist or Team Leader
If you are interested in teaching our youth in the religious education program, please fill out this form, or contact Jaye Russo at email@example.com. If you are interested in teaching our high school students in the confirmation program as either a catechist (adults) or peer minister (high schoolers), please contact Rick Chasse at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are interested in sharing your faith in the RCIA program for adults considering joining the Catholic Church, please contact Elizabeth Woodard at email@example.com.
Volunteer in a More Informal setting with Children:
CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD: Each Sunday at the 10:30am Sunday Mass from September through April, the children in attendance at Mass are invited to come downstairs for a child-friendly liturgy of the word. Readings and songs are supplemented by discussion, skits, props, and group prayer. If you are interested in helping a Children’s Liturgy team once per month at the 10:30 Sunday Mass, please contact Elizabeth Woodard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: One week per summer, usually the third week in August, Holy Family hosts Vacation Bible school from 9am-noon for a week (M-F). We need volunteers of all ages to lead groups of kids, provide childcare, read stories, lead crafts and games, and much more. If you can help all five days or only one, we’d love to hear from you. For more information, please contact Elizabeth Woodard at email@example.com, or to register (volunteers need to register as well), please click HERE to visit the VBS page.
CHILDCARE: Holy Family is striving to offer childcare at the 10:30am Sunday Mass. The Pilot Program, the Dove’s Nest, went very well, and we are hoping to continue the program if we get enough child care volunteers. If you want to offer to babysit for one hour here and there, or even every Sunday, please contact Ann Jennings at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Women’s scripture study
What could nurture one’s faith more than spending time with God’s Word? If you are a woman feeling called to spend more of your time with the Lord, consider spending it with the Women’s Scripture Study group on Monday mornings at 10:00am in room 1 of Monument Hall. For more information, contact Diane Hannon at the parish office at email@example.com.
The men’s group meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the Month from 7-8:30pm in the lower level of the church. Each session will highlight a theme pertinent to our lives and include scriptural underpinnings to help us become more informed Catholics. We are excited to have Father Fleming join us for these evenings for informal guidance. Our goal is share our experiences in a low-key confidential forum that strengthens our men’s community at Holy Family. Bring along a friend and come join us! We’ll start at 7pm and end 8:30 sharp. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Scott Staniar at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Walking with Purpose: Walking with Purpose helps women know Christ, to know his Heart, to know his tenderness, to know his mercy. It endeavors to meet you where you are on your journey with a bespoke guide to deep, lasting transformation of the heart and a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe that change happens in the hearts of women – and, by extension, in their families and beyond – through study. Opening your heart is the natural first step for all participants, regardless of previous experience with the Bible. Join us Wednesday evenings in the café at 7pm or Thursday mornings in the café at 9:30am. For more information, contact Rita Staniar at email@example.com.
