RCIA

RCIA

RCIA stands for “Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.” However, weekly RCIA discussions are for anyone interested in exploring the Catholic faith, and participation does not require any commitment to join the Church. The group meets each Tuesday between September and May from 7:30-8:30pm in the lower level of the church.

Led by Dr. Elizabeth Woodard, pastoral associate, and her team of RCIA lay ministers, this weekly group conversation is open to anyone curious about deepening their faith through conversation, questions, and short presentations on various topics. The group contains people from all faith backgrounds including those baptized in other Christian traditions, those baptized Catholic but not confirmed, those who are not baptized in a Christian faith and may have grown up in another faith, as well as confirmed Catholics who enjoy the opportunity to continue to grow in their faith. People may join at any time throughout the year. If you are already a confirmed Catholic, and you are seeking to deepen your faith, please consider joining our Tuesday 6-7:30pm group, which meets just prior to RCIA. In that group, you can enjoy conversation and walking together in faith, much the same as RCIA does at 7:30, but for people who are already fully received into the Catholic Church. Both groups are open to all.

People who do choose to enter the Catholic Church are welcomed through a series of welcoming Rites and ceremonies culminating in the reception of sacrament(s) of initiation at the Easter Vigil.

No registration is necessary; please drop by any Tuesday evening and check us out. Only those who decide to move forward with Church membership need to fill out paperwork. For more information, please email Dr. Elizabeth Woodard, Pastoral Associate, at pastoralassociate@holyfamilyconcord.org.
